My name is Pollah Yves, and I am a computer science student at the University of Yaoundé 1. Below, I outline my journey and the steps I've taken to reach where I am today.
Since high school at Lycée Bilingue d'Essos, I've been into computers. I loved seeing cool stuff people made and, of course, playing games. Even though I didn't have a computer, I still took computer science classes and did well. But it wasn't easy. In the next level, things got tougher. No teacher, no research drive. But I kept at it and got good grades, even though practical stuff was tough.
When I got to the University of Yaoundé 1, I found friends who loved computers like me. They motivated me to work harder. I also took a graphic design and multimedia course and got a certificate. At the same time, I kept learning about programming and computers at school.
As I got better, I started making websites and doing freelance work to earn money. In my second year of university, I started a YouTube channel where I teach programming and computer stuff. Now, I work for a graphic design club and do freelance website work.
